I work with children and young people, aged 0-25, in all types of educational setting, face to face or remotely. I tailor my approach to the needs and context of each child, and this will usually be agreed during the initial consultation. I also provide services to MATs and schools including training, therapeutic interventions and supervision. See below for some of the services that I offer.
SERVICES
ASSESSMENT

Psychological assessment may include information obtained through consultation and observation, as well as more formal information gathered through testing, including cognitive and dynamic assessments. This process helps to reveal areas of strength and difficulty in order to plan effective strategies to help children to reach their potential. This service includes a comprehensive report.
INTERVENTIONS

At times, individuals, groups of pupils, or staff, may benefit through interventions. Interventions include techniques from Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, Narrative Therapy, Play Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, as well as group interventions to develop Social Skills, such as Circle of Friends. Services for staff include Coaching, ELSA Supervision, Solution Circles and Circle of Adults.
CPD

I am experienced in delivering training and professional development, and am able to cover all aspects of children’s cognitive, social and emotional development, and psychological well-being more generally. Professional development programmes can be designed at a bespoke level according to your needs.
MENTAL HEALTH RESPONSE TRAINING

This full-day course is designed to equip all school staff with the skills and confidence to respond effectively and safely to mental health issues in children and young people. An alternative to Mental Health First Aid, this course is based around the FIRES Framework outlined in 'School Mental Health Response Handbook' by myself and fellow psychologist, Dr Tina Rae.
